SCRAP YOUR CAR
To depollute a vehicle the following will happen:
- Removal of battery.
- All hazardous liquids; petrol, air conditioning gases, oils, coolants, transmission and suspension fluids are drained and stored.
- To complete the recycling process the air bags, LPG gas equipment and wheels are also removed before the vehicle is baled on-site.
- The final stage is to transfer the bales to a FRAG operator who will process, separate and collect the metals and non-metals to attain a 95% recovery rate.
- A DVLA Certificate of Destruction is issued free of charge. This is proof that the vehicle has been destroyed and the current keeper is no longer responsible for car tax etc.
Because we bale on-site to reduce our transport costs and use Frag operators who are offering best market prices.
Please remove all personal belongings and on arrival we will ask for the vehicle V5C (if available) and to see your driving licence as proof of photo ID, in accordance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. It will take approximately 20 minutes to sort paperwork and to load the vehicle safely on to our transport.
Your vehicle will be transported safely to our vehicle recycling centre where it will be depolluted and baled in accordance with current legislation and environmental agency guidelines.
